Artec se-beq pedal Anyone have experience with this? Looking for a signal boost

Im using a sansamp right now and the sound is alright from it, but i really like the fact that it boosted the signal and made my bass more in the mix. Thing is that i miss my original sound of bass without any effects, but i was always buried in the mix. Would this pedal give me that boost but keeping the natural sound of my bass? Is there anything else out there that would do this for me? thanks

Just about ANY clean boost will do. I use a Creation Audio Mk4.23, which has a 24dB boost. Very clean, no color at all. Most of them work like that.

Does this create a significant difference? Searched on google but only saw guitar trying it out.

I have an Artec BEQ. Works fine but as I can hear it, it stoles from the natural sound of my instruments, for example that good old precision sound boosted a bit with it, with EQ on flat only the volume for boost, it sounds like an active cheaper intrument. Also can't be used with an adapter, i have tried 4 diferent tipes on it, all of them with the characteristics this pedal needs, noisy, but very noisy. Unexpectedly quiet with batteries...
So... good pedal if you dont want much from it, definitely a must hear before you buy it.
