Ashdown Bass Envelope Plus SOUNDCLIPS

Sign in to disble this ad
So I had this pedal lying around and I don't think there's any soundclips floating around for it so I figured why not. Fender MIA Jazz Bass -> Boss OC-2 -> Ashdown Bass Envelope Plus -> Ampeg V4BH.

The first clip is just the Ashdown filter:

The second clip is the Boss OC-2 into the Ashdown:

Sounds surprisingly good, man, I hadn't heard much about it and was pretty skeptical.

Great playing, too.

You'd notice it with a subwoofer. On regular computer speakers you don't get the full effect.

So I think this pedal is decent for what it costs, certainly not the greatest filter, but it has a sound of it's own and can get wacky if that's what you're into. I actually plugged this in with a guitar as well and it worked pretty well with guitar. On guitar it seemed to have a certain band of frequencies conducive to the funk that I have dubbed "party sparkle". For what I want, I'd sell it, but I've got the old version that only really works with passive instruments, not a problem with me, but I doubt anyone will want to buy it knowing that, so I'm kind of stuck with it.

+1

Once again, assboglin, you've taken the words right out of my mouth. Or rather, right out of my keyboard? Meh.
