I bought some very thin sheet metal (roof flashing, I think) and cut small tabs out of it with metal shears. It was difficult, time consuming and I cut the crap out of myself numerous times. The end result wasn't pretty (they were all different shapes, LOL!) but they worked.
Your solution is very elegant. |

Industrial Velcro's my preference.

Use a big enough piece (like 70% of the pedal's bottom area) and your stuff ain't going nowhere very easily.
Also, for those of you using the Industrial Strength velcro and having troubles getting your pedals to release from your board without damaging or ripping up the felt:
Take a butter knife (or something similar) and basically slice your pedal (getting the knife between the velcro and the felt) off the board surface. Works like a charm.

| | Less barking, more wagging! | | Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: San Diego, CA | | I started out with heavy duty velcro, but found out after a 4-hour gig on a hot outdoor stage that, despite the velcro-to-velcro connections gripping tenaciously, the adhesive got so hot and sticky that it lost its grip.
I had a bunch of these and used 'em to secure my pedals. So far, no problems: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=786 |

If I ever came up with a pedal setup that would last me longer than a few weeks I'd definitely go for this.

Chain is where its at. Takes less than a minute to chg a pedal.

I think you can use some other material if you don't find pertinax...plywood etc.
