Attempting cliff burton sound.. need more.

Hey guys,
My current setup is a Morley Mark Tremonti Wah, EHX Little Big Muff, and Hartke Bass Attack preamp running through an ampeg ba115 ( going to get an ampeg svt 2 pro someday) ; I'm trying to get somewhat of a cliff burton sound with all of this. Right now it sounds really lacking IMO, I'm trying to get it to sound fatter, more tubey, overdriven, etc. I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to describe it, but I hope you get the point I'm trying to get across. Sort of like a mix of Cliff Burton fuzziness/wah with Robert Trujillo overdriven tone. Would a Sansamp bass driver or a Boss odb-3 bass overdrive give me what I'm looking for? any other suggestions? I really appreciate yall's help. Hope everyone had a great holiday season. \m/

well effects that are listed on wikipedia are
Effects

* Chrome Tel-Ray Morley Power Wah Fuzz in early years.
* Chrome Tel-Ray Morley Power Wah Boost. (discontinued since 1983)
* Electro-Harmonix Big Muff
* Ibanez Tubescreamer-TS808
* Boss CS-2 Compressor
* Boss CS-1 Compressor (according to "To Live Is to Die" Cliff Burton Metallica Biography Book-Front page color pics)
* Electro Harmonix Bass Balls

The Ibanez Tubescreamer might be what your looking for, and for more thick sound seek out some compressors if you havn't already

I never tried the Tremonti wah, but I heard it was pretty decent. The LBM I had sounded thin, though it had a good overall sound. My buddy's BA115 sounded pretty nice, but the tweeter was very prominent, which sounded good for wht he was doing, but is not very 'burton-esque' (can that be turned off?). I've heard great things about that Hartke, but couldn't get anything good out of it the one time I tried it at the store (probably not the pedal's fault). Overall, I LOVE Cliff, but his basic sound is pretty dull, I've always thought (though it is amazing on Anesthesia, obviously). I'd say boost lows, boost low mids, leave high mids alone, roll back the treble a bit, add some grit from the Hartke, leave the LBM out except when you want his over the top fuzzed out sound, and you should be good!!!

I appreciate the help guys. The tremonti wah is an incredible pedal, and you get that cliff "scream" and it sounds killer. The tube screamer huh? that sounds like it could be what I'm looking for.. I think i'm going to try out a ts808 and the odb-3 the next time i'm at my local sam ash. Does anyone know if you get similar sounds out of a sansamp bass driver and the odb-3? can you pair two preamps like the sansamp and the hartke?

It was mostly in Cliff's hands, not all effects - and they can't be bought

the sansamp BDDI is alot diffrent from the BOSS odb, but you should try it. You could get cliff's tone with diffrent gear than him.

the ODB is more metallic than BDDI, but i personally like the BDDI more than the ODB.
