Fur eelz. They won't just plug em' in until they sound the way you want. You won't break anything. How do you think the people you are asking figured it out? There I said it.

FWIW,...TBFX goes through phases like that. I used to be the snarky "do a search newb" type and yeah,...simple questions that have been asked AND answered a millionz billionz times here are a little frustrating/annoying,...and there will be as many people who will vent their frustration as there will be noobs asking the same questions; but it's never going to change and it's just better to not fly into a tizzy over it.

Reason: i liked "fly" in place of "go"

When I started checking this site out a little over two years ago I knew VERY little about effects in general. Thanks to everyone here (and all the patience I'm sure), I have learned TONS of stuff and every time I come on here I learn something new. |

I think a lot of it is people trying to establish rapport/cybercred or attempts to gain attention,...so feeding into that by replying,...even with snark is feeding into the attention whoring.
I usually just scoff to myself and move on. |

If I have a question, I search for the answer and generally find it. If I don't find it, I find a thread about a similar situation or at least the product I need info on. Youtube is often my best friend when looking for pedals. I drive myself crazy trying to follow you cables paths in the Pic Threads to see how others do it.
All of those things have help, but nothing as helped me with my signal chain more than a few hours alone with my complete rig, a pack of smokes, and a 6 pack. THE END!!!

Great comeback from such a pothead. |

THE END!!! | i know this isnt what you are trying to say but exactly my point, you spent hours and hours and hours looking, reading, and experimenting... why not share the wisdom you've gained?
for example when i try to find chorus pedals other than analogman and the ebs one i can search chorus and get countless threads that talk about everything but choruses and countless threads that talk about the two I want to exclude, easier solution ask my question in a new thread and be met with an quasi-elitist attitude. |
