I have seen a little talk about this in a few threads hear and there. This is by far my favorite Bass Fuzz of all. This thing is Medieval sounding to say the least. If you get the chance, check this pedal out.

Man, I was really on the fence about buying one of these. The lack of reviews and lack of tone shaping options kind of made it a deal breaker for me, but the bassfuzz.com clips sounded really amazing. I ended up going for the Wounded Paw Battering Ram which seems to have some similarity in the raspiness of the fuzz tone. Love the aesthetics of this pedal too.

Are you able to record clips?

I don't, but I'll see if I can get something together.

It's a tweaked super fuzz. The lack of LED and no way level the volumes between the two sides is limiting. The robot factory tentacle love super fuzz and katana sound bass super are based on the same idea without those limitations. Does sound great though.

I really wouldn't say it's a tweaked super fuzz but if that's how you see it that's cool. I find it to be fine without the led, It's easy to tell when it's on or off. I don't have a problem with the two know setup, I would not find a need for a blend myself. I like the fuzz to be part of the tone of my Bass and not the other way around. And that is why I like this pedal so much. The tone knob even on a passive Bass come right through without just mudding the tone of the fuzz. But over all it's the wild sustain that it gets that I love about it. But that is why there are a lot of fuzz pedals on the market I suppose, one for every liking. I would end saying I think it's worth checking out.

not just how I see it.

1) From the lit.

The Audio Monk FUZZPOTION pedal is modeled after one of the most notorious Japanese fuzz boxes of all time. Audio Monk scientifically evaluated many original versions and sourced parts specifically for recreating the original sound.
2) The circuit matches the super-fuzz, with some component changes and foot switch for mode changing.

This is the first fuzz that really moved me, and I sent a few e-mails to 'audiomonk' in 2008 asking about mods/custom version to address things that were shortcoming for me. He never responded, and so I went elsewhere to get what I wanted (and the Tentacle Super Love Fuzz was born).

Okay so it's the way they see it, so that means it's the way you see it? The drop off and sustain is completely different then the super fuzz. It's sustains much longer and has a smother tone as the volume gets lower. Over all I would say it's a much smother tone over all.

I agree, it sounds great. That doesn't change where it comes from!
