| Awesome distorted bass tone

Recently started listening to a band called circle of contempt and one thing i noticed was the bass tone, it was extremely trebly but sounded really good to me. It made me wonder what kind of effects where used to get it, if i had to guess i'd say a pod, but i'm curious what you guys think.
