Axe-FX Ultra & Switchblade, my plan for a rack FX rig

Hi everyone!

Well, I've been at the effects thing for a while now, and I've assembled a lot of pedals that I like. The thing is, I was looking for a way to rack them all up and control them all remotely. With all 3 of the Eventide factor boxes, plus OD/distortion, compression, filters, and fuzzes, it was going to be a nightmare. I discovered the Sound Sculpture Switchblade, and that instantly became the switcher that I new I wanted to use. The flexibility of changing the pedal order, or running anything parallel to anything else is a huge deal to me. I was originally looking at the Switchblade GL, with 16 loops. It was also probably going to take several drawers to house all of the pedals I wanted, so my "short rack" was turning into a much bigger thing altogether.
A few days ago, I sat down with one of our guitarists' Axe-FX. Wow...just wow. The sounds are awesome, and the tweakability is just incredible. Since then, I've decided to sell most of my pedals, and just use the Switchblade 8, the AxeFX Ultra, and 6 fuzzy/quirky pedals that would take a lot of programming to get out of the Axe (I'm confident that it could cop the tones, but it would eat up DSP power that I'd rather save for other stuff). With this configuration I'll be able to have any or all of these outboard pedals (in series or parallel) either in front or in the effects loop (or both) of the AxeFX, and the FX Loop can be anywhere in the Axe's internal signal chain! I'm pretty darn excited about the possibilities with that!

The only hard part has been deciding on 6 pedals! I'm very happy with the OD/Distortion options in the AxeFX, and I'm also very happy with its Big Muff model. I would like for the 6 I choose to be relatively small (to fit in one shelf), so that's also a factor. I can build impedance converters to raise the impedance that any of the pickier fuzzes see (like the Mammoth), so that's not a deciding factor. Ok, here's what I've got on my list:

ZVex Wooly Mammoth
Catalinbread Heliotrope
Malekko B:Assmaster
Crowther Prunes & Custard
CopilotFX Orbit
Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion

If anyone has any feedback, or there are any other AxeFX users (jufros, not sure who else), I appreciate your collective experiences/input. I really think that this configuration should have big bang:buck ratio in terms of flexibility and space. It's expensive gear, but I'm in Iraq at the moment so I'm willing to splurge when I get home!
