B:Assmaster Without LED?

Sign in to disble this ad
Just saw this on eBay:
Malekko B:Assmaster

I'm guessing it's an old one as there's no LED on it- any guess if it's silicon or germanium?

Considering the fact that the germanium and silicon versions sound noticeably different from each other, I'd say yeah, it matters

Well, yeah... but they both sound good; so you can't really lose.

You should bug the "M" man himself and ask him - he's the maker, after all.

The LED is hidden under the surface and shows through the lexan . Cool sounding pedals. It's most likely the silicon version.

The germanium versions are more recent so it's most likely a silicon version when he was doing straight clones.

Ah- thanks guys. I thought "recessed" meant flush with the surface- I didn't realize it was actually under the surface.

My B:Assmaster looks exactly like that (it's a silicon), and yes there is an LED under the lexan. Looks pink/yellow and isn't as bright as the newer ones, but works just fine. If you want, I could go down and ask Noisebug directly. I live very close to them.

Yeah, I have one just like that. Very trick as you can't see it until it's on. Plus it's pink.

Matters a lot! Not a fan of germanium.

I would love an Assmaster, but not until they make it the size of a Boss pedal

That has the newer knobs, the older ones had the MXR-alike knobs.

That will only be possible if someone does a surface mounted version or gets rid of the transformer.

If that's the one at Noisebug, it's actually a Germanium.

Transformer? Why didn't you say so? OK, it's forgiven its size...

Transformers = epic win!

Boy, that Assmaster dude is the shizzy, huh? OK, so now we've overcome the size hurdle...next is overcoming the fact that its name is also the name of a series of gay porn videos.

The fact that you already KNOW that there's a series of gay porn videos by the same name probably means you have more to worry about than the name of a pedal
