hey guys. so im running my bass through my board into my amp, but also want to run my korg r3 through my board into my amp. not at the same time, but i want to minimize gear and pedals/boxes. is a A/B/Y morley type switcher what im looking for? ive used one, but it was years ago, so im a little fuzzy. if so, what are the best for the money? cheers |

Just curious is all.
Otherwise, I think an a/b/y switcher is exactly what you'd want to use. And IMO, the value is the one you make yourself. High quality switches are not expensive, and boxes are fairly reasonably priced. You could probably build one for half or less what you'd pay for a good one, and it would be the same quality or better.

My goal was to run my bass and my Kaossilator through my board for looping fun. The Morley looked like what I was looking for but I went with the DOD Passive Resistance Mixer due to the independent volume controls. DOD 4x1 Passive Resistance Mixer DD-240 - SJ Media Systems

The Morley will work, but not optimally- it will cause one side or the other to be less loud. Go for something quality, and buy once/cry once.

Just a simple A/B is all you'll need.

I second the LS-2 idea, it will let you switch or mix at will. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
