B2.1U repair question

Sign in to disble this ad
I guess I've over-used the cheesebox drum machine on my Zoom B2.1U- the start/stop button doesn't work anymore. I want to pop it open & see if I can get a few more miles out of it but wanted to ask how simple it is inside these guys. If it's gonna be a byizcuitch getting it back together then I'll just live w/o the rhythm function.

If its anything like the effect type up and effect type down buttons on my zoom b2.1u, there are small plastic levers attatched to the button on the case that lead to small micro-buttons mounted to a pcb. Most likely these plastic levers broke. I still have not found a solution to this problem outside of drilling holes in the pedal enclosure to access the board-mounted buttons directly.

The micro buttons on my B2 gave out at one point and I was able to order the replacement parts from Samson and swap them out myself.

Thanks, guys. I did open her up only to find that it looked like a huge PITA to get to the bad button.
