One is an OD (B3k) and one is a fuzz (TFR).

What sound do you need?

I wished there was something that did both. I was also eyeballing the blueberry OD.,,

Dr Scientist The Elements, that goes from overdrive to heavy distortion and what I would call fuzz.
sounds really good.

Neither because my always-on is a Megalith.

The TFR and the B3K aren't too dissimilar even though one is an OD and the other a fuzz. The TFR is rather polite to my ears and the B3K overlaps a lot of the same ground on higher distortion settings.

Well, it technically does overdrive and fuzz, but it doesn't do either that well, and it certainly doesn't sound like either the TFR or the B3K.

I rock the B3K. Love it. But it certainly isn't fat and round...and it's modern (which a lot of old schoolers would call fake). Like it's designed to do (the Vintage will be more.....vintage). Compared to my B-Peg, it's tingy and fake sounding in the same sense a GK amp is tingy and fake sounding to an all tube amp. Not a laughable statement by any means.

But the Kool-Aids still good, I'm refillin' my cup.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. Nothing against it, it sounded great mixed with other peds but on its own it needed .

If a Megalith is your always on, everything will sound thin or tiny by comparison. That being said, I wasn't a fan of the B3K either, but am expecting good things out of the vintage model.

Very true. I did take that into consideration. I'm looking forward to the Vintage too...sounds like they'll be swamped with orders.

I think Troy Sanders from Mastodon uses both. Tall Font going into the B3K.

I designed the Vintage because the B3K is very modern sounding, which works great for some (including me), but not for all.
We did a teaser last weekend. Hope it's ready to upload soon.

Regards, Doug.
