Bad Monkey Fun

I have been having a lot of fun w/ my guitar player's Digitech Bad Monkey distortion pedal. I play in a classic rock band doing some Jefferson Airplane covers (3/5 of Mile in 10 sec, Plastic Fantastic Lover). I've been looking for something to give me that Jack Cassidy distortion. I've been really impressed with this pedal. I had tried some other bass distortion pedals and the distortion was way over the top. The Bad Monkey felt like I was right in the middle of Bless Its Pointed Little Head.

Rig: '77 Rick 4001, Univox 1061 Head (100 watt), Avatar 2x12 cab.

So. . . have any of the rest of you tried out the Monkey? Is there something else I should look at before I buy my own?

There are a lot of people here that use that pedal. Some people have even sent it out to small builders to have it modded for better use with the bass guitar.

I have the Humphrey Audio modded Bad Monkey and it might as well be permanently affixed to my pedal board.
