do anyone knows which freq the bass knob on the BM affects?

I can't say for sure, but it seems more like a low-mid to me. I would guess that it's in the 200hz range.

The Humphrey modded one is probably lower than that, mine really boosts the lows. Plus you can mod the frequency range if you can solder!

Can you give some detail into such a mod? If I remember right all you need is to change the caps to the input, output and tone caps, but I don't recall by how much. I think a diode change was mentioned too.

I'd also love to hear what exactly the Humphrey mod consists of, if anyone knows. Don't quote me on this, but I seem to remember someone mentioning that C11 is the capacitor that effects the low end. I don't know if there's any truth to this, so please don't hold it against me if it turns out ot be wrong. I think I read it on a gu**ar board
