Badazz new FX that came out within the last year or so..

I've been sort of busy the last 16 months, took off some time away from the bass,gigs..
I'm ready to start playing again this summer..and already getting some offers for some gigs playing for a couple of artists..
one bass,
one is electric guitar,

first question, what's just an absolute badazz effect that's come out fairly recently, (or within the last year or so) that you think is just absolutely killer, that you'd absolutely want on your pedalboard?

secondly,
How about a low or medium gain distortion or overdrive that will sound great on bass as well as absolutely killer when used w guitar as well?
