Badder Monkey vs. Badder Bass Monkey

I have looked everywhere I can think to look. How can you tell whether your Humphrey mod is a Badder Monkey or a Badder Bass Monkey, based upon its appearance?

From the outside I don't think you can. You'll have to open it up and ask Mr Humphrey what to look for I guess - like different value capacitors. Just tried to open mine but I can't as it doesn't have normal screws!

I ask because I just bought one from a TBer who bought it from another TBer and both present buyer and seller are relying upon what someone back up the line said, namely that it was the bass model instead of the guitar model.

I checked the Humphrey site and the Humphrey store on ebay. No help. I'll email Humphrey and see if he'll provide any info.

mine had a humphrey sticker on the seam of the pedal, and a sticker on the box, and an insane amount of low end available with the control knobs - that's a modded pedal for sure!

Just swapped email with Humphrey. If the sticker is on the front it is a guitar version.

If the sticker is on the side, it is a bass version.

Tried mine out, sounds great. I still love the Fulltone, but the Badder Monkey Bass Drive is a great tool to have in the bag. I coupled one with a Q-Tron and almost could not stand my funky self.

There's something about that Monkey that makes it pant-wettingly awesome when used in a full band mix on stage. I'm definitely hanging onto mine!
