Badger Schism, or ____ ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Is the Badger Schism parallel double loop pedal the only loop pedal that can run Loop 1 + Loop 2 parallel, or just Loop 1 or Loop 2?

I was considering an SFX S&M to run two loops parallel, but I wouldn't be able to run Loop 1 without Loop 2 active.
Same with the Boss LS-2, unless I bent down to twist the knob and I don't want to have to do that.

I was also considering buying a Loop-Master Micro ABY Box and Y Splitter because they don't require power and would save a lot of space, but this would lack the phase inversion and volume controls the Badger Schism has.

The Schism seems perfect for what I want it to do, and I'd be sold as long as I knew there wasn't anything else out there in pedal-form that didn't do what the Schism does. Should I just go for the Schism?

I think so. The Wounded Paw Super Blender does some of what the Schism does (and a little more, frankly) but it is bigger and has a little less intuitive setup IMO.

I got mine for this reason. The ability to bring my loops in and out on the fly has been essential to some of my tunes.
