Question Badger Schism XV parallel loop

Sign in to disble this ad
Could anyone give me some information on this pedal?
Personal experience?
Thoughts?
Also does anyone know if channel 1 and 2 run in series, or parallel?

thanks

All three channels run in parallel. Channel 1 and 2 can be routed through external loops, channel three is exclusively a clean blend. I have an early version of this pedal that doesn't have nearly the features of the XV, but it is still pretty badarse and is an integral part of any effects scheme I wire up.

Thanks for the reply cheapbasslovin, that's exactly what I was hoping for.
One question though...
Say I had the unit on with both channels 1 and 2, then bypassed it using the master bypass footswitch. When i turned it back on again using the same footswitch, will channel 1 and 2 still be active?

Yes.

You can also hit the master bypass, then change all of the settings on the pedal, then hit the master and have it come back on with a completely different routing arrangement.

is it possible to add a little boost with the level knobs, or do the only cut?

On mine they are cut only, but the circuit has gone through some major redesign since I purchased mine. You'd need to email Badger to be certain.

What do you mean by cut? Do you mean there will be a volume drop when i turn it on?

No, you won't lose volume (unless of course you intentionally turn the chann vol down) but it doesn't act as a boost, at least not the older version i had.

So say i had distortion on in channel 2 and channel 1 was on, but all effect are bypassed mixed with the clean of channel 3, will channel 1 act as an extra clean channel?

Cool thanks. Do you know if it runs on a regular 9v boss adapter so it can be daisy chained? i'm going to use the diago powerstation. Or does it require its own power supply unit?

It is daisy chain-able.
