BarberLTDSR/Blueberry/Echobox/OC2/BBM/DepthCharge/BMS/DD20/Dunlo105Q - Soundclips

I finally bothered to move my Blueberry clips over to soundclick after the death of putfile. While I was at it, I pretty much uploaded any random thing I had.

The result is generally unhelpful effects combined clips from random song ideas I've had. So enjoy maybe!?

Barber LTD SR -> Dunlop 105Q -> Boss DD-20
- Light drive for character, quick digital repeats, sweep from low to high Q on the wah for an electronic filtering effect
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7284057

Barber LTD SR vs. BFJE Blueberry
- Just comparison clip, quickly trying to dial in a very similar mid gain OD sound to show how they are both sexy sexy pedals
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7330145

Boss OC-2 -> Custom Momentary Looper -> Barber LTD SR -> Prescription Electronics Depth Charge
- Testing a little device made for me by someone on TGP - easily switchable octaves makes for a dirty synth sound
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7561484

Boss OC-2 -> Custom Momentary Looper -> Barber LTD SR -> Subdecay Echobox
- Another test for the Momentary Looper, chucking in some low octave sounds on the root with some crisp delay from the Subdecay
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7659924

EHX Bass Micro Synth -> EHX Bass Big Muff -> Dunlop 105Q -> Boss DD-20
- Fun massive synth sweep clip made for a guess this sound thread from a while back. BMS is so unbeatable for this sound.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7659948

Barber LTD SR -> Subdecay Echobox
- Inspired by a Binson Echoplex popping up on Aussie ebay, I had a go at copping this Pink Floyd style delay sound
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7659995

A whole bunch of Blueberry clips I did for a thread which is now probablly full of dead putfile links. I'll put these up in the wiki when I'm less bored of clip uploading.. soundclick is arduous.

Clean tone reference Thumb/Pick/Finger
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660000

Low gain thumb/finger plucking (not slap!)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660007

Some Dancey Octave Picking
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660008

Drop C Stoner Rock Riffage, a personal favourite!
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660013

Added some OC-2 octave for rolling fun
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660014

The sombre darkness of this overdrive matches this unique dual tape emulation setting on the DD-20. This clip makes me miss both pedals.

QOTSA Cover - Feel Good Hit of The Summer
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660016

Kasabian Cover - Club Foot
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660018

Nine Inch Nails Cover - Only
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7660017

Took ages, hopefully someone benefits!

It is based on black goop. Whilst many believe the black goop hides it's components, I know better. The goop is the tone. Bjorn just tricks everyone by putting dummy components in said goop.

Such a dark, primordial, monstrous sound could only be produced by the black tar that engulfed the dinosaurs and wooly mammoths. A killer overdrive.

haha black goop you say, do you think that colour of goop has the best tonal qualities? i may have to experiment. i'm thinking orange goop might give more of a 70s british sound

Wow, that momentary switch sounds ace. Nice covers as well, three great tunes (even if With_Teeth was the worst NIN album by far ).

Hooray goop! If I could do it all over again, I would have never ditched my Blue Berry. I have some live recordings of it scattered about, whenever I stumble upon them I get all misty over a $295 hunk of metal.

Yeah its definately like that with the Blueberry. All the past owners love it, but its usually the case of Blueberry meets band, and it's 'impossible awesomeness' becomes plain 'awesome' and then you realise how expensive it is!

I'd say Year Zero is my least favourite actually The ARG was better than the album.

The Slip is bitchin though

Some of Bjorn's pedals have been de-gooped and demystified. One in particular was just a clone. Lame. Dummy components are a worthless defense with someone with an engineering background. They also commented that the build quality wasn't very high.

From someone who purely plays effects. All that matters to me is this particular pedal sounds good. Whilst my current OD pedal can be similar, it's still a different sound. If the blueberry was a clone, I'd be really surprised to find out what it was a clone of, because nothing really sounds the same as it.

One of the oddest things about the Blue Berry to me is how damn heavy it is. Maybe there's an output transformer underneath the goop.
