Barge VFB-2 vs Barge Jr.

Couldnt even find a thread addressing this issue...

I'm planning on getting one of these, not sure which one would be best.

Here's my observations from my research:
VFB is only $10 more, so price isn't an issue
VFB has a feedback option
Jr. is physically smaller

Is the feedback option worth it for a bass or just a cool idea? My band is kinda coldplay sounding (ie not ugly angry sonic mayhem) so I don't need a-pig-getting-skinned alive sound but unique sounds are good with me
Size isn't a huge issue to me at this point since I don't run many pedals currently, but it is good to look ahead. Wait a minute..with this one...and my undying gas for a bassdrive i just might suddenly be at 5....

So yea..basically it's whether the feedback is worth the while, sound clips would be a great plus since your opinion may be irrelevent to my ears anyways...

Thanks y'all!

If your band is "kinda coldplay sounding" I can't see how a feedback looper would be useful to you, unless you have some ambient weird project on the side.

The reason why i'm getting 2 VFBs instead of the VBs is so that i can loop effects in my delay. (ie each repeat getting more and more distorted, or chorusy, or whatever). That's a nice aspect of feedback a blend pedal will never get.

Also allows me to feedback a touch of signal back into a drive/distortion/fuzz pedal, which should increase gain significantly. So i could also use it as a hack booster pedal, by routing the distorted/fuzzed signal back into the input.

I guess the question you must ask yourself is, do you need the extra space? I think most people can be quite ambivalent about a feedback and $10.

I actually really like the feedback on my VFB. I only use it though when im on my own, messing about with sounds. Its a bit unpredictable and sometimes you have to crash tackle the VFB to turn the knob down! I have had a couple of times when its just oscillated of its head and nearly destroyed my music room....

Its great if you like the sound of whales doing strange things to each other.

I'm going to try and find non-apocalyptic ways to use my VFB-2s when they arrive... I'm not really into the whale sounds or oscillating mayhem.

Feedback = Pointless?

I've blown a fuse on my amp when the feedback blossomed into pure chaos. That's a good thing because I probably would've been obliterated (or gone deaf)if the fuse hadn't blown.

I know my effects, but I honestly can't hear anything happening when I blend in some feedback. It's only at the verge howling chaos that I can hear any effect at all. I've even sent the pedal back to Geoff Barge thinking that it was defective, but he claimed everything checked out okay.

Now, had I known that, I would've gone with the jr. or a two loop version.

Awesome pedal otherwise. Neatest pedalguts I've ever seen.
