Bartolini TC3 wired in a pedal?

Hello, I have a passive J bass that I record in my pc through my mackie mixer channel. I wanted to know if a TC3 would bring my basses signal up to line level so I can make better recordings? If so, can a tc3 be wired into a pedal since i have a chassis lying around? Thanks

You need a DI to go line level. There are lots of options, but two popular preamp pedals with DIs are the mxr m-80 and the sansamp BDDI. You can find them for sale in the TB classifieds
