| The EH Bass Big Muff is an excellent pedal. Similar but different in tone and character include: Musket V2, Grey Stache from Fuzzrocious, Wren and Cuff Tri Pie 70's and Tall Font Russian. Many of the EH historic muff pedals will get there too but they are very expensive.
As far as the M9 this is a digital effect and analog and digital don't sound the same to my ears. Digital never quite get the organic goodness of analog pedals particularly live.
