I want to pick up a high quality/road ready chorus pedal for my live rig.I want something that wont mess with my low end and that can take a beating. Im deciding on a Tech21 Bass Boost Chorus, an EHX Poly Chorus, and a Boss Super Chorus.
Any thoughts? |

It isn't necessarily the most expensive, but it does cost about $200. It also isn't exactly an easy chorus to live with - it takes quite a bit of adjustment. However, it is easily the most versatile BBD-based modulation device I have ever used, and with a little patience, you WILL get the sound you want, plus a lot of others that you didn't know existed.
If you haven't guessed, I am a longtime owner of a Polychorus - I even wrote a very good article about it, but because I am still fuming over the censorship of my desired title, I refuse to name it. Search my name and 'Polychorus.'

The best thing about going Boss is you can usually get what you paid for if you sell it and they're highly desirable. The boutique stuff is generally better but no real re-sale value unless you have someone looking for a particular unit. The Boss will surprise you. And yes, contrary to popular belief it's high quality and road worthy. Just check out the pedal boards of the stars!

Nobody?!? | He wants a road ready pedal. Doens't mean he is actually touring.
He states "for his live rig". This might be his "future live rig", or it might be his live rig for his school band, or...
The bass might be his dad's, it might be a doubled 4-string which is not that weird, ...
Did he make himselfs sound more serious and experienced than his age would make him appear? Yes, but how were most of us when we were 13? And who knows, maybe he is way ahead of his age anyway?
Live and let live... this is the internet
And on topic: unfortunaltely no chorus experience here. I'm very interested in the TC Corona Chorus myself as it seems very flexible. Can you get both watery warbly chorus and shimmery chorus? How metallic is the shimmery chorus sounding?
