hey, new to the forums, thought it would be a great place to get alot of my questions answered.
distortion, I've been searching for that perfect destortion pedal that dosn't make the low end vanish as soon as I stomp it. I currently am using the Diesal Dawk (GK) and I am just not happy with the pedal (though I think mine is fobar'd cause the sound quality of the pedal has dropped tremendously as of late and I don't know why)
I havn't had a chance to test out alot of pedals cause most of the music stores here, as soon as I ask for a bass effects pedal of any type they give me a weird look like I'm speaking blasphemy
Boss has afew pedals I hear about
also input on flanger, chorus, and wah pedals.
currently have a Chorus Factory CF-7 Pedal, its... interesting, not sure if its good or not cause I don't have anything to compare it to lol
thanks for your input in advance |

The boss ODB-3 pedal is garbage IMO and IME.
Try listening to the sound clips in the Wiki section, id recommend the Fulltone bass drive.

If I still used distortion I would order one without hesitating and without trying it first.
Seem like it is like the Russian Big Muff, only more suited for bass.
Depending on the things I hear on here.
Correct me if I'm wrong guys.
Other great distortions I have positive experience with: BOSS MetalZone, Proco Rat (original one I think) and Ibanez Phat Hed (although I like this one more in OD mode.) |

Also the above mentioned http://www.bassfuzz.com/ is awesome. Really, really awesome.
That being said I've gone through my fair share of dirt boxes, and my Favourite Of All Time (For Now) is the Malekko B:Assmaster.

| | | | Thanks for the quick responces guys, I took a listen to the EHX Bass Big Muff, I really like the sound, nice, fat, and distorted but still able to make out the notes, might look into that one, the boss metalzone is the one I keep hearing about, and the sample I heard of it awhile back sounded good but I don't trust samples, they are never like the real thing. |

It leaves the freq under 250hz untouched and has a quite nice overdrive, simple but not so cheap. Not true-bypass thoe. |

The setting you see gives me a kinda SVT like OD, but
it's more than capable of over the top wall of FUZZ with
just a tweek of the knobs. ... Roger Mayer designed it to add chunk to single coils ... it works great for bass too |

It actually works quite well for pushing tubes. It DOES NOT work well with solid state amps, but that shouldn't be a surprise. Just don't expect a tube amp model from a 50 dollar pedal. |

| | | hmm, isn't there a craze about bodgan polish love distortion around here lately?
And also recently, someone have also posted Barber LTD clips.
Both of them sounds very good imo (I only have polish love though, still saving up for the barber), so it might be a good idea to check them out.
Cheers.
