What's your budget; do you need it to be new or is used OK; what pedals have you tried already; and have you read any of the existing threads about envelope filters?

Actually, scratch those questions; I listened to the track, and it is not at all an envelope filter. It's a synthesizer with an LFO controlling the filter. Further, the control is an upward ramp wave from the LFO, and outside of a synthesizer the only filter pedal I know of that offers an upward sawtooth LFO is the Guyatone Ultron.

I got the chance to speak with Gareth from Pendulum about his setup and his sounds - however, he specifically asked me not to reveal his secrets on the internet, and I am going to honour his wishes - not even in a PM.

However, I will tell you that you will not be able to easily replicate his tone without LOTS of money and equipment - there is not going to be a pedal that will make that sound. You would be better off just getting a synth unless you have lots of time and spare cash, because that is not a bass guitar sound.

It should not be so hard to reproduce that synth bass sound, speaking as an ex-techno producer. So the secret is that there are no secrets, just a bunch of good presets on most bass synths to start from + compression.
