Bass equalizer

Hi all,can you guys help me,i have bass guitar for about 2 years but i don`t have amp.I`m use`ing my Thunder sound system and i have Boss distortion pedal but now i need equalizer.And i try`ed to connect my bass to my PC and it worked,i connected it to the stereo "line in" but my eq doesn`t change anything so can you tell me some equalizer programs witch can help me (sry about my english )

Or look into a good preamp pedal with EQ or rack unit. I've got a Tri-logic up in the classifieds right now but there's a lot of other options out there too.
