Hi all,
I was curious to find out what the better sounding/more bass friendly choruses, reverbs, and modulated reverbs are available in the markets nowadays? Open to both rack units and pedals.
I love the Eventide rack units but they just cost way too much...
Thanks |

| | | | Eventide do stompboxes in the form of the Modfactor, Pitchfactor, Timefactor and Space Reverb.
The Iron Ether Nimbus Reverb is well worth looking into if small format Pedal Reverb is required.
Line 6 M5/9 or 13 are also well worth considering for Modulation and Reverbs etc. |

| | | I've read mixed reviews on the Eventide stompboxes in some mags and Youtubes mainly got demos of these with guitars
Do you have much experience with these?
Will check out the the iron ether nimbus, cheers. |

I get any delay I want, plus echo/reverb, Chorus and Phaser sounds. You can go for crisp digital or lo-fi, vintage delays and everything in between. I'm currently in the market for another factor pedal.... |

| | | | hmm interesting.. are you able to justify the price at which these come?
not only by 'out-there' sounds but also by bass compatible, usable, and recordable ones?
are there any other choruses and reverbs one would be able to suggest besides these? i'd like to get my hands on something for tapping etc.
btw if unsuccessful with the search you could always find their stuff in the form of plug-ins etc. and use by means of an audio interface. goodluck! |

Reverb: Iron Ether Nimbus
Delay: TC Electronic Flashback (even has a modulated delay setting).
With those three, you are covered.

I had a BOSS bass chorus that just didn't impress me at all - no depth to it.
My favorite to date is an H20 Liquid Chorus.
I have one of the janky dual units with Chorus and Echo - big and ugly. But I haven't gotten rid of it because the chorus is really deep and shimmery, one of he best I've ever heard.
Now they have a single stomp version and I'm planning to buy one and get rid of this dual pedal.
Try one you won't be disappointed.

They were made for guitar, but work great on bass. They're made out of plastic, so I wouldn't go stomping on them. I own the distortion and chorus pedals which don't sound very cheap at all (especially considering they can sell for as low as $12.)

| | | | +1 on the H20 Liquid Chorus - never had the dual, only the single and it's sweet.
Also +1 on the Dano Fab stuff. I've borrowed my guitarist's and was pretty impressed for the price. Definitely on par with some of the digital stomps from big name makers for a fraction of the cost. |

With those three, you are covered. | I haven't tried the others, but the Analogman Chorus is definitely a nice sounding pedal!

| | | | Thanks for the suggestions guys. For the moment, I have an analogman on the way (can't wait to see what the hype is all about).
The iron ether reverb seems to be a bit pricey new, and rare in the second hand market. Any alternative reverbs that work well with bass? |

I can't say for sure it works well with bass, I've been told it does. I plan on getting one. It's worth a look if you can try it at a local shop. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
