Question Bass Muff mods?

Sign in to disble this ad
anybody know of any mods one could do on the BBM? I don't exactly need mine modded but it would give me something to do I've seen mods for the other muff pedals, could those be done on the BBM as well?

That is the most ridiculous reason for a mod I've ever heard

Do you have any experience with SMD technology?

I'm too lazy to search for gutshots. Too hot.

Attach some pics and we can tell you how much room there is for mods. Yes, essentially, you can do a ton of mods to the BBM. Space is the issue, unless you want to rehouse. This is all hypothetical BS since you're happy with your unmodded BBM.

You should mod it to explode. Or at least trigger fireworks.

There is one mod that NEEDS to be done - in dry mode you always have the clean tone at 100%, adding fuzz in with the volume knob. To get the right fuzz/clean ratio you need the volume knob around 1 o'clock, resulting in a massive volume boost when you turn the pedal on. I'd like to add another volume control to the clean channel to counteract this.

You could also easily add some Supercollider Beast style feedback loops. I say easily, but maybe not since it's a double sided board full of tiny SMD components!

Feedback loops are easy since you're just soldering wires to emitters on transistors to toggles or footswitches. It all depends on room in the enclosure for such a thing.
