Boss OC-2, Pog, EBS octave...

There are tons. I use my OC-2 but never play below A, so I don't damage my cabs.

BASS OCTAVE PEDALS

THANKS FOR QUICK ANSWER!I HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING ABOUT DAMAGING YOUR CABINETS.THE BULK OF MY USE IS OPENING FOR NATIONAL ACTS AND OF COURSE THE HOUSE PA IS TREMENDOUS.SO SENDING THAT E OR A THROUGH ALL THE 18'S OUT FRONT ISNT A PROBLEM.

Most if not all analog octavers will struggle with a low E. My OC-2 could do a low F no problem though! If you want flawless tracking at low notes you should look at the MicroPOG.

I've tried almost all of the available octave pedals and settled on a Micro POG. It really does the best job by far and handling the lower notes cleanly and has the quickest response. It may not track a low E, though - that is a nearly impossible task.

Rookie mistake.
It's almost a consensus that everone is annoyed when reading something in all caps.

Welcome to the forum, it's good to have a well seasoned player.

I have not much experiences with other octave pedals.
But you can't go wrong with a POG... microPOG would be enough for your needs.
It's digital though, I have no experience with analog octavers so I don't know if analog is going to suit you better.

Sometimes I kind of like hearing the random results when my OC-2 tries to process low E's or even the Low B, C, or D on my B string.

A fan of this as well, when used with care +delay, percolating guts can ensue.

I'm glad this thread was made. I was also curious about this.

This video shows some differences between the EBS Octabass, OC-2, and Micro-Pog.

I like the Octabass but for the price I'll probably go for the OC-2 which is nice in different ways. Anyone have experience with the MXR M88? I might be able to get one for cheaper than the OC-2. I've heard it's sound is somewhere between the Octabass and OC-2 and I've also heard it's not very good at all.

The Aguilar Octamizer will be released soon, and it might be a good option, but as it stands, the POG and MicroPOG are going to be your best options for bass octave needs.
