I had a Taurus 1 set in the 80s and then a taurus 2. I regretted selling the original taurus I even had dreams about it untill i finally got another set about 2 years ago. the ones i have now have to warm up for about 20 minutes. I'm afraid to take them out of the house. does anyone else have that problem or did I just get a bad set?

Pardon my ignorance but.....When playing bass pedals like the Taurus or similar are you limited to just single notes?Or is there a way to program and play simple chords?
Part of me thinks just adding a single note would sound kinda boring, but then again Rush and others use them to good affect.

I would assume (I know nothing about synths) that you could add a III and V some how but what if there was a minor chord needed some place in the song?Would there be any why to be to change the III to a iii ???

If I were at home I'd post pics.... I have a set of Roland PK-5 pedals controlling a Moog Taurus emulator VST in Cantabile Lite.

I have an old set of Crumar CPB-2 bass pedals, but unfortunately haven't had a context for them in a few years. It's a simple mono synth, but very fat bass.

I remember the first gig where I used them - plugged straight into the PA. The first time I used them, a few people had to take a few steps back. Long live the low end.

I've got Roland PK-5 pedals and a Roland JV-1010 synth - can I join?

Thanks!

I use MainStage that comes with Apple Logic 9 on my Mac laptop, and use a variety of sounds for my pedals depending on the song. I've also assigned one pedal for triggering prerecorded bits for beginning or ends of songs, etc.

A couple of the sounds I use are Taurus-like, but also use a guitar power chord sound on a couple songs when the guitarist is doing a solo. I think it sounds great, and I get a lot of compliments for it.

No, I had the same problem...and more....the Version 2 used to trigger due to vibrations of the stage, never the right nore ofcourse the Version I sometimes just refused to play certain notes, the repairs were terrible, nobody could figure out what was wrong with it...in the end I sold both

Hmmm

The club is for MIDI pedals in the vein of Moog Taurus and Roland PK-5. Is yours a bass pedal effects board, right?

I use the PK 5A's on bass in a live rock band format and as a solo performer on guitar mainly with a Yamaha Motif rack mount sound module. It's not as hard as you might think but tricky at first! Rob

I use a set of PK-5A with a Dave Smith Mopho synth module. I also own a couple of sets of Crumar CPB-2 bass pedals as well. I used to carry the Crumar in an old Samsonite. We called it suitcase bass!
