I stomp on the Moog T-3 or play it from an Oxygen 8 controller.

Hey, Terry! How's the interface project coming along. I'm dying to get my project back on track.

So horny am I to get my pedalboard set-up working that if I find a decently priced PK-5 first - I might buy it, then bag the project and sell my components.

It's my $350 parts Geddy. Used Allparts neck, SX body, Geddy pups. Sounds awesome.

ZuluFunk, you can be #20 if Stick_Player doesn't mind giving up his second #.

What don't you like about the T2?

I had Taurus II pedals also, didn't like them as much as the T1's. Didn't sound as good to me. Didn't have the T1 presets either.

The T II's were terrible.

Wow, interesting. I didn't realize they were 18 pedals. No MIDI either?

Moog Taurus II....they were the first bass bepals I bought, the problem was that the sound came from a Moog Rogue, and that was just not as good as the Taurus I synth section. However, it could produce White Noise, so I could make wind sounds!
The main problem they had was that the trigger system was done with these tiny springs, and the springs vibrated very easy....
So imagine the first time we played on a "not so firm stage" ...suddenly they started to produce notes without me stepping on one of the pedals....furthermore, they never produced the note in the same key the song was in!
I tried to compensate by building a sort of small podium on rubber feet to eliminate the vibartions of the various stages we played on, but that was only 50% succesful...plus I had to haul along that podium as well as the Moog Taurus II (huge) pedals, the Rogue synth and the cables to connect them both ..oh and a stand to put the Rogue on (my version didn't include the metal tube in the picture, and my Rogue had a keyboard)

I use Roland PK-5 + a racked Novation BassStation synth. Cheap, but still delivers pretty solid boot bass!

I had an old basstation 25 note synth back in the 90's, had really good bass sounds. I thought it was pretty beefy.

Just scored me a set of Roland PK-5As, while I eagerly await the debut of the Cygnus adapter for my custom build. Pretty cool little piece of gear.

I tried using the old E-mu Proteus synth module (the one for my build) with it, but I'm doing something wrong with the set-up. I've connected a MIDI cable from the Roland MIDI-out to the E-mu MIDI-in, then the E-mu mono-out to my amp. I get an audible response from a pedal press, but more of an electronic sound than the voice I've chosen. I'll take the E-mu to a music shop and ask if they can hook it up to a keyboard controller, just to make sure that it's working, then continue my troubleshooting from there.

Meanwhile, I hooked the PK-5A up to my MacBook Pro and had a blast playing with all the different settings in GarageBand. I haven't found anything that sounds like a good bass pedal voice yet, but I guess there are add-ons you can buy for that. I seem to be able to move my foot around well enough to cover some easier basslines, but I sometimes lose my balance while on one foot. It looked pretty ridiculous. Before too long, I hope to be able to do an easy bass part with my Roland, and play some more interesting lines on my bass.

This morning I was practicing my setlist and keyed up some applause after I finished. My wife came running into my practice studio to see just who the hell was howling for an encore!!
