The small black aluminum handle on the top/middle of the board serves as a tier stop (so the pedals don't run into -
anything when the tier is open and leaning against it), and a handle for lifting it out of the case.

It's possible to leave every thing hooked up and put the lid on.
Oh, snap! It already does it!!!! Perfect pedalboard design? Maybe so!

Your pedalboard looks great! I'm eager to learn what it weighs with all of the components and cabling installed.

A walk around of the removable Power unit.

Very nice built!
Where did you get these through-jacks? They look perfect for mounting in my pedaltrain.

Thanks Bob! I appreciate it. Your board is looking killer too man!

Over the weekend I had time to do the mods to the case that I wanted.

I replaced the old handle (on the left) with a leather handle (on the right) that I got from a place called HardwareElf.com
I like this handle it's really well made and comfortable.

I also flipped the latch over so the floppy part stays on the lid, and reinforced it and the handle on the inside of the case
with washers on the rivets and the bolts for the handle.

The three stainless #10-24 cap head bolts on the bottom of the case thread into the bottom of the three aluminum
uprights of the board to hold it in the case.

I put some feet on the bottom of the case, bolting them through the holes of the corner protectors into flat threaded
washers (that were part of the stock case to hold the rack rails in) on the inside after drilling the rivets out.

I also bolted aluminum handles to the sides of the case. I don't really care for the way they look on there, but it was
function over looks on this one.
They're handy when the lid is separated from the board for ease of picking it up.

And finally, I lined the inside of the bottom of the case with 1/8" closed cell foam, using Super77 to glue it in.

The rubber feet/bumbers on the inside back of the case fit snugly against the back of the board to prevent movement front to rear.

And the sides of the board fit snugly against the foam on the inside of the case.

The case I think is done!
Next up -mounting the gooseneck LED lights to the board (more on that later) then mounting the pedals and soldering patch cables.
The signal chain at this point I think is going to be:
Compressor > Tuner > Octave > Fuzz > O.D. > Filter > Delay > D.I.. But that might change. Thanks for looking!

Awesome! Probably the best DIY pedalboard I've seen.

ccouch - It's been a while. My first build was based off of yours. I'm currently running no pedals live, but I'm looking to sell my current board and build a new one. Always the best inspiration!

Subscribed for sure...

Edit: Had the chance to weigh it the other day, it's 28lbs complete with the lid on.
