Bass PodXt Pro through SWR SM400S

What is the best connection method for the optimal sound with these two units. I have tried running my bass through my amp with the Pod setting at "Line In" and I have tried running my bass through the Pod with the setting at "Bass In"
So far I have just a single cable running out of the D.I. on the Pod and into the Return on the Amp. With either connection, it just doesn't seem to sound right.

Any proven connections that work??
