Bass Reverb?

Is anyone using reverb on their rig? If so, what are you using? I don't use my delay all too much, and I was wondering if reverb would even be worth it for ambient parts and whatnot.

i use it for ambient parts and love it. a big reverb setting can change the nature of the bass so much and can really transform the whole vibe. diggg it.

got me a biyang tri-reverb which is a surprisingly decent cheapo pedal. i am looking to upgrade in the near future to either a hardwire supernatural or a ehx cathedral... something with lots of options.

I like to use a reverb/chorus or reverb/delay effect on upper-register chords and melodies, mostly in quiet clean parts. I haven't experimented much with reverb on more typical basslines and lower-register work, although I plan to try that out shortly. Lately I've been fan of reverb-y parts from bassists like Jenny from Warpaint and the guy from Isis.

Up to this point I've always used the reverb on my Boss ME-50B multi-effects unit, but now I've got an EHX Holy Grail Nano coming my way to step it up.

My rack rig has an HDB Audio TSR-3 Tube triple spring reverb.

I play solo a lot so it sounds quite nice in that context.

Best bass sound I ever had was when I used an old Roland Space Echo, the real thing with a tape loop not the new digital version (which I haven't tried so can't comment on). I didn't typically use the delay very much, but the tape saturation was really nice, and a touch of reverb on all the time sounded amazing. It is was just a bit too finicky to use as a gigging rig in the end...

All of the bass tracks I recorded on this album were done through the Space Echo into an old Fender Bassman head:

Check out Iron Ether's Nimbus. I love it for fretless.

I use an EBS Dynaverb for fretless at times. When the bass is exposed, its great. When its part of the ensemble, not much point to it.

It's a very good sounding reverb with simple controls yet a ton of versatility. Very ambient and musical sounding. When used with a fuzz pedal and all the way wet, it has a very unique "orchestral" vibe to it.

I experimented with reverb a bit a few years back and found this statement to sum it up very well. I really like the sound of a little reverb as it gives the "big room" sound a chance to peek through the mix occasionally on the quiet parts or upper register parts.

This thing instantly became one of my favorite and often-used pedals. It's too good.

My EHX Hazarai has a 'pseudo' delay setting, which I sometimes use in conjunction with lots of fuzz for drone passages in my songs,in a similar vein to Sunn 0)))

I'm using a Dispatch Master right now and have a fast delay and moderate reverb set on it to widen out fuzzstortion and grindoverdrive.

Works very well, though I've only messed with it in a simple bass/tabla/singer context so far. It really fills out the empty spaces.

Love me some bass reverb and I use it a lot. 85% of the time I have just a small amount of cave reverb (from my MSLP delay/reverb/looper has damp control to prevent mud) to add just a bit more space. I also use a Roland RE-20 Space Echo (z-style spring reverb) and a Boss RV-3 Digital Reverb/Delay (2 rooms, hall and plate reverb with tone control).

I can get some really sweet reverb on my d.o.d digital delay. I don't use it often but it does sound pretty nice when I do. I'd think you could find great reverb in most delay pedals for bass.

I use a TC Hall of Fame with a touch of reverb dialed up on the "Ambiance" setting. Just enough to give the bass a little, you know, ambiance. With subtlety, it can bring a little bit of studio magic to make things sound a bit more alive and dynamic without being over the top.

I recently purchased a tech 21 RVB (reverb boost). I'm still getting used to how it works and I've never used reverb on bass before but I like it so far. Has that nice boost control and you can alter the low and/or high reverberated frequencies which is nice because I did notice without really using those controls with the mix set at around 50% I lost some of my volume and low end. Those controls fixed it right away.

I picked up a tech 21 RVB a few weeks ago. So far I am very happy with it. I am only using maybe less than 10% in the wet dry mix. So low you almost do not know it is there. It really fills out my sound. The tech 21 RVB has both a low pass and a high pass filter so it is very easy to dial in a good tone without too much boom.
