<EDIT: the post in question, from "naruki", has been deleted.>
To the OP, I haven't seen any posts from anyone in EU mentioning buying or trying one of these yet. So far MB's pedal lineup has had one smashing success, the Compressore; one decent contender, the Super Booster; and a bunch of duds and bombs. So I think that's why there aren't more people jumping up to chat about the Tube Marker. It might be killer, but most people are going to wait until someone "takes one for the team" before getting excited about it.

My Danalectro Fab Chorus seems fairly easy to use, not sure about the MB version. Time will tell.
I did see a youtube clip of the marker, sounded like tube feedback. I'm looking for something for light overdrive. The empress pedals seem interesting in this area. Multidrive, or their new germ drive ...

That might be interesting. Markbass has built a lot of great things. I have their Compressore which I don't use very often but it's a great pedal. I also use their F500 daily.
Tube distortion in pedals are generally not very compelling because builders can't get enought electricity to make that single tube really sing. That being said it would not be the first time Markbass makes an design miracle happen.
We'll see this pedal soon on a floor of a Guitar Center so we'll get to demo it without having to take a plunge.

It's less interesting then. What's the point of another distortion pedals? It's will have to be really different to add to a cluttered market.

People do like those pedals, so the "point" would be maybe a devoted fan of the MB brand would choose theirs over the others, if they happened to like that flavor of dirt. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
