I have one and it struggles with the E....so a B might be tough for it. You rerally have to move it around on the headstock to fine the sweet spot sometimes.

I have a Korg DT-10 and it tuned my 5 string bass without any problems at all. It also tunes my electric guitar, so I cant see a high C being a problem. It is a really excellent tuner, I am so glad i got that instead of the boss TU-2 pedal. It is silent, built more solid than anything I have ever had before, and just works!

Same here. Just for the Korg DT-10BR. The first time i used it, I was quite surprised at how sensitive it was and it makes it much easier to use. Much more stable than the boss TU-12, at least in my experience. Totally worth it.

Before this becomes another "what tuner do you use" thread, the OP was actually asking about the Intelli tuners and how well they work on bass.

Of course it would have helped if the OP had been smart enough to put something like "How well do Intelli clip-on tuners work on bass?" as a thread title.

Agree. Tuning the octave harmonic helps a lot. I usually dont have problem getting it to track the octave.

No, don't buy the intelli tuner. I bought it, and it was barely able to tune my E and B strings. In fact, to use it, I had to fret at the 12th fret and tune from there so that my bass would actually register on the tuner.

If you have an acoustic guitar, buy the intelli tuner and keep it with your acoustic guitar, that's what I did.

Yeah my intelli tuner struggles with the low E and B. I wouldn't buy it again.
