Well... the Little Big Muff is kinda cool and everything it sounds great when I practice but in the band it just gets lost... I'm looking for something with the same sound but a little bit more presence is the BBM an alternative?? is there something the LBM has that is missed in the BBM?? any other pedal suggestions?? thanks!!

You change from a bass to a slightly bassy guitar. Of course, if you biamp, blend or otherwise keep a clean signal running, go for it.
Otherwise, I would look around the Big Muff clones adjusted for bass if the BBM is not your cup of tea. |

the blend feature is fantastic, and will mean that you shouldn't get lost in the mix. of all of the muffs i've used, the bbm is the only one that has ended up on a board for me.

I didn't like the sound of the bass big muff with the sustain full on. It didn't sound like the big muff at all(to me)
The big muff was noisy as all hell and just didn't sound all that great. It sounds like a guitar distortion pedal used with bass(i know thats what it is but i figured with all the hype it would perform better)
So i might go and swap it out for the bass big muff.
Just one persons experience for anyone pondering which to get.
*edit i also used it with the tone no higher then 10* |

Plus, it's fairly low-noise.
I'd highly suggest it as an excellent replacement for your LBM, provided that you don't need crazy gain and you still like the Muff sound. Should you need fuzzy chaos or a non-Muff tone, look elsewhere...
As for other Muff-ish pedals, the Earthbound Supercollider gets a lot of love, too, as do the Tonebender pedals and their clones (although Tonebenders are technically considered a separate group).

Does the LBM get more fuzzy with the same overall tone of the big muff?
I like the sound but with the full band it was weak for me. |

Not as great of a bottom end as the BBM, though. The BBM is modeled after a more aggressive, gritty Big Muff (the old Sovtek version), so it won't sound quite the same as the American. Plus it's lower gain overall... but unless you needed insane amounts of gain, it shouldn't be an issue.
The BBM does sit better in the mix, IME, than the other Muffs I've used. Quote:

Im going to give the big muff another go and if i don't like it i'l try out the little big muff and/or bass muff |
