Aphex Bass Xciter.. there are reviews on here if you search.. but a quick summary:

it's basically the Aphex 204 Aural Xciter/Big Bottom in a stomp box housing and tweaked for use with bass. it adds harmonics to the highs (brightening them up) and sub-synth freqs to the lows to fatten them up.

also has a DI out built-in (though i find it flaky).

love it, always on my pedal board..

+1 to the above poster!
The DI seems a bit weak IMO, but the things it adds to your sound are awesome. It can take some tweaking, but once you've found the sweet spot for the frequencies, it can add hairy balls to your sound!
once it's been on for a couple of minutes, switch it off and wonder what happened to the sound! Adds the X factor (not that crappy reality show!) to the bass sound!

Dude I teamed the Aphex Bass Xciter with the MXR M-80 bass box today and it was like i had a whole new rig.....absolutely amazing...! i would imagine teamed up with the Sans Amp Bass driver it would be amazing as well..

The built-in DI is pretty low output... may be a problem when combined with a passive bass.

Otherwise, they are incredible. I positively loved mine. It wasn't really an effect so much as a "setting" - I'd turn it on and leave it on. The only reason I sold it was because I can dial in a similar sound with my Line6 Bass POD xt Live without having 2 boxes, so I didn't need it anymore. I highly recommend them.
