Bassballs might be broken...

I own a EHX Bassballs (Russian version) and when I got it a couple of years ago, it sounded great. but it seams as the more I use it, the quieter it seams to get, so much that now it doesn't make a noise. I have opened it up and everything seams fine. I mean, I ain't no electrical engineer, but I know my way around a circuit board. And when I have the effect off, the bypass work like it should. no problems whatsoever. I have checked the battery, not the problem. Checked the cords, not the problem. So I don't know what it is. I really don't want to have to send it into EHX fearing some rediculus payment to get it fixed. So what do you guys think it is?

Too much vodka during construction.
Sorry, just couldn't control myself.
There might be some electrical tinkerers on craigslist that
might take a look for cheap.
There are some good people out there that will look for free,
sometimes out of curiousity, and/or do a solder or something for cheap.
My guitar tech is very reasonable and lives closeby. Found him on craigs.
Good luck.
