Very nice, but are you using the mic on the camera to record the audio? Maybe investing in a good mic to make your vids shine.

Yeah, I've thought about that, but for now the process is going well and moving fast with just using the audio off the camera. Do you have any suggestions on the best mic to use for doing these kind of demos and what to run it with?

Thanks for the comments and thoughts!

Depends on your budget but any mic will probably be better than the camera mic.

I was going to try the MD421 I have here and see how that goes. I'm also going to try an Audix D6, Beta 52, and D112.

I've had good luck with blending the D6 with a DI from my amp. A lot of kick mics don't do a good job of capturing the sound by itself. But when paired with another mic or DI it can sound really nice. Just my two cents. Videos sound great though!

Thank nilla! I really appreciate that. I'm debating the best way to do this. For now, I'm really happy with the sound I'm getting, but always room for improvement. It's a work in progress that I'm really pumped about.

I'm going to demo a 1969 Fender Mustang Bass, Maxon D&S II, and a few other pieces tomorrow.

Uploading videos of the Maxon D&SII, Maxon AD999, Analog.man Astro Tone, and Boss DD7.

Tomorrow I'm going to do 1972 Jazz Bass, 1969 Fender Mustang Bass, Fender Hot Rod P Bass, Fender Collector Gold 1982 Bass, maybe the B15, maybe the 1971 Fender Precision, and probably some shootouts.

Awesome demos, dude. I've always wonder how the maxon ds-830 distortion master pedal sounded on bass. I've heard how the maxon chorus pedal and the maxon flanger pedal sounded on bass, but never the maxon distortion master pedal. now that I've heard how it sounded on bass, I can say that it sounded pretty cool. thanks for posting a video demonstration on that pedal on bass.
