You might check out the Boss Bassman pedal, I have not tried it out yeat but it certainly looks like a possibility.

I have the Boss pedal, and I love it (for both guitar and bass). It's modeled after the '59 Bassman.

The Tech21 Blonde can cover more of the Fender-ish range, you may want to look there as well.

I tried out the Boss pedal and found it lacked some low end, but so did my friend's '59 reissue. I think both were made with guitar in mind. I have heard some pretty nice clips of the Tech 21 Blonde however.

One the absolute best Bassman simulations I've ever heard + use comes from the Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro unit that I talk about in great detail on my thread:

Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro

Sure, it's no pedal, but at 6-pounds it will deliver exactly what you want and comes complete with many other nice-to-haves, all in one unit.

Slainte!
