Just ballpark, how long should a 9v last in a EHX Smallstone Nano?
I have a gig this week where I'll be using just a BDDI, the SS Nano, and a PitchBlack tuner. The BDDI can run off phantom power, I'm just wondering what to expect from the EHX pedal if I go w/o a power supply. (If the battery in the tuner dies, no biggie)
Thanx in advance. |

Distortion pedals don't really go through batteries, but my guitar player's Boss phaser would tear through a battery after a few light 45 minute practices and a show or two. I personally would recommend getting a 1Spot and a daisy chain, but if it is for one or two shows, I would say you are in the clear. |

Oh, I have a 1-spot - and the problem is, 1) less cables on the ground, the better (it's on a boat...), and 2) the adapter input seems to have some 'issues' - I used it in rehearsal last night, and it's either slightly cracked off the board, or it doesn't make good contact with the adapter plug, because any slight movement and it would turn off.
To change the battery in the nano, you have to unscrew and take off the bottom - I just want to feel secure that putting in a fresh battery will get me through the 3-1/2 gig, and then I can fix the pedal later.
I know most time-delay devices suck juice quicker than distortions and other things, and years ago I had a Zoom multi-pedal that wouldn't last 2 hours on battery power. |

Only once did I leave it in and it was dead before the first set ended. Pedals my last a little longer but I would go electric to play it safe |

It's a small local cruise boat packed full of 200 drunks, and if it's a choice between losing a screw or doing w/o the pedal if the battery dies, I'll live w/o it.
I was just looking for an opinion from experience of how long a fresh battery usually lasts in a pedal like this. |
