To BBE 362 on bass rig or not.

So I ordered a Crown XLS 202 for a new bass amp since I blew my Backline 600 (I took it apart and its fixed now) But it came with a BBE 362 for free.

I am probably going to use it in between my Mixer and P.A. amp at smaller gigs. But I have a fairly big gig this weekend, and I read that people use them in their rig.

Does anyone have experience with this? What settings do you use?

I have a 462 in my rack because I got it for free and I had space for it. I am using a Markbass TA501 which by itself is giving me exactly what I want. I probably will eventually take it out, but I don't want a hole in my rack and I don't want to spend the money to purchase a cover for the hole when eventually I will put a rack mounted tuner in. I find that I bypass it most of the time. It's supposed to "fatten" the sound up and I guess it does, but I probably wouldn't go out and buy one. I do use a BBE MaxCom for the overall PA mix. I do like what a maximizer does to a "total band mix" but by itself in a bass rack I am not sure... I am glad that I got it free, as I probably would have returned it had I bought it. It doesn't sound bad it just doesn't make it sound that much better either. I guess it depends on what you are looking for and what kind of equipment you have in front of it.

How's that for using a whole lot of words to say nothing?? Hey what can I say, I am a sales rep...

Actually, it helps a lot. It kind of reconfirms my thoughts of using it on the mix and not on the rig. But i figure I might try it out. But I don't really have time to experiment before my gig next weekend.

Anyone else?
