BBE 362 gone bad

Has anyone ever had a sonic maximizer go out? About a year ago I was playing my Trace head with the BBE through the effects loop and out of nowhere, my sound started to distort and the signal died. So I' pulled the Trace from the rack, put in the SWR and started using it with the BBE. Now, two weeks ago, the SWR did the same thing. I take it to a tech and he can't find anything wrong with it. I haven't had time to check the Trace, to I plug it up and no more issue. The culprit has to be the BBE. Has anyone had a similar experience?
