Hey fellow TBer's !
Just needing some input on which compressor/limiter to purchase.
I play finger style and don't slap, but I do tend to play aggressively.
Thanks in advance for the help and advice!
Blessings! :^)

The LMB-3 is specifically designed for limiting, and isn't really ideal for lighter compression...I have owned both in the past, and for my uses I prefer the Optostomp.
I believe the LMB-3 was really intended to turn on when slapping/popping to balance out peaks and volume, hence the "Enhance" knob, which is just a mid scoop control. That said, it works decently as an all around limiter too, if that is what you are looking for.

• If you need something cheap, the best ones in my opinion are the BBE Opto-Stomp, DOD Milk Box, Boss LMB-3, and Line 6 Constrictor, pretty much in that order. Others that are pretty good for the price include the Biyang CO-8, Moen Uni-Comp, Alesis Nanocomp and Microlimiter, Ibanez BP5, Guyatone ST2, dbx 163X, Behringer DC9, and ART Levelar. And if you want a DIY project, the BYOC Optical is a very good value
| I've had the LMB-3 and it was cool. One of the types were it does it's thing without really letting you know it's doing it's thing.
I've since moved on to a more musical and substantial compressor. |

I have it
No loss of lows, major plus.

The mid scoop is bearable (perhaps even desirable for many who use this pedal) but what about the hiss?
