BBE Opto Stomp vs. Bench Press Compressor

Which one do you prefer? I've read good things about the Opto but it doesn't offer much control.

The Bench Press is just a Ross/Dyna clone, not really suitable for bass.

The Opto Stomp is subtle. A "can't notice it when it's on, but miss it when it's gone" type compressor. Good for an always on deal.

You're right, not much control which means you either like it or you don't, but if you're looking for cost effective then it's a great way to go imho.


The carl martin opto-comp offers a bit more control and is in a similar price range.
