After reading all I could on these forums I took the plunge (this website is costing me $

This is the only compressor I've used (I've tried a few over the years) that I like on bass with the possible exception of some PA gear compressors. I'm a fingerstyle player, not a popper who wants a mild compression. The BBE is dead quiet, doesn't have "engaging artifacts" and just plain sounds great. Plus it is True Bypass which is nice since I like compression on some songs and the extra control without it on others.
I am very very impressed
