BBE Sonic Maximizer Hiss

Hey all. I had no idea where to put this thread..hopefully this is an okay spot!

So - I'm having a hissing problem with my BBE Sonic Maximizer. When I play and the SM is turned on, I hear a hiss behind my notes. When I'm not playing, however, it's dead silent! When I play through the Maximizer bypassed, there's no hiss at all. I don't get it! Has anyone else experienced this? I love the sound I get with the Maximizer... Here's my set up:
2010 Fender Am. Deluxe Jazz V > TU-2 > MarkBass Compressore > Line6 M9 > MarkBass Super Booster > BBE Sonic Maximizer > GK RB 1001II > GK NEO 410.

I run everything into my power conditioner in my rack. Any ideas? I'm out of them...

I think it might be boosting high end hiss that is comming from something before it in the chain. Try turning off your other boxes and see if it goes away.

Thanks for the suggestion MuzikMan. I tried bypassing my board but that hiss is still there. I will try plugging into a different sonic maximizer and see if the hiss goes away.
