I wouldn't. It's literally a two band EQ in a box. BBE even says on their website that the two knobs are just +/- 12db at 50hz and (I think) 10khz. I'd go for the boss GEB-7 if you want a decent quality EQ.

I have one somewhere. I personally think it sounds better then the original black rack units.

I recently picked one up at Hudson's Salvage of Mobile, of all places (they had gotten nearly a $1 million in music store inventory) for I think like $30, and I personally love it to add a bit of snap for when I switch from fingerstyle to pick.

They are great. I have the rackmount version, and my guitarist has the stompbox. It'll add some balls to your tone!

I had an SM (rackmount) for a while. At first it was like, "Wow!" Then it was like, "Meh". Then it was like, "Ick!". Personally, I don't care for what the process does to my tone.

The Sonic Stomp pedal sounds fantastic when you play by yourself. In a band mix, all it does it get you lost. There are better eq's to be had, such as a Barber Linden.

I picked one up on monday and I've only been able to use it once. So far I'm digging it but I need to spend some more time with it. I'm playing a show tomorrow so we'll see how it stands out in a live situation.
