BDI21 Signal

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, my first post here!

I will buy a Behringer BDI21 this week, but I read BDI's signal is very weak, is that true? if yes, how can I fix it? I saw an behringer booster PB100, I think. Must I buy both?

I will use it plugged sometimes to my Behringer BX300T head > Electro-Harmonix 410 cab. and sometimes directly to Pub poweramp > front PA.

Thank you folks and sorry about my (bad) english. : )

It is not weak at all for a pedal preamp, which is what it's meant to be.
It is however a bit weak to drive a power amp. Which you won't have to do if you use it through a PA. Just send signal into the mixer.

Good to know, I found a handmade booster that promises increase 50dB. Dunno if makes difference. Anyway, I think I will buy the BDI21 first and test, if I need, I will buy the preamp booster. Thank you!

I wouldn't say the output is quiet, I'm pretty sure the can make it a good deal louder than what your input signal is.

Is that what you're asking? Cuz you can definitely get louder when switching this on.

I really don't know, I never used BDI21 before. I'm just buyin cause I saw very positive feedbacks here in this forum and cause I really need a "new flavour" to my sound.

But I saw some folks sayin that "BDI21 sucks as D.I. - the XLR output is weak - the signal is 3x weaker than a conventional D.I."

SO, this is my only worry now. to buy a behringer preamp booster or not to buy?

Who says it's weak. I have to pad my DI from my head or B2.1u but the BDI21 is fine as is.

Hey I have a question. Which 9V adapters can be used with this pedal?

Most all of them...1-Spot, Boss, you name it. Just so long as it's a tip-negative adapter.
